Who travels with AFS?

Mostly solo travelers. Some are single, while others have partners who simply aren’t interested in that particular adventure. Our community is made up of experienced, curious travelers, with many guests aged 45+.

Do I have to be single?

Not at all. Most of our guests travel solo, but we also welcome couples. In fact, a few couples in our community first met on an AFS trip.

Will I feel comfortable joining alone?

Absolutely. The AFS community is known for being warm, welcoming, and friendly. Our smaller group sizes and shared experiences make it easy to connect with others from day one.

Are the trips physically demanding?

Some can be. Every itinerary clearly outlines the activity level and fitness requirements, so you can choose the adventure that’s right for you.
